MAJOR LABEL DEBUT
Corbu was my all-encompassing music and art project until the its hiatus in 2022. I sang, performed and wrote the songs. All of my music, visual art, animation and photography was created under the banner of Corbu. Our debut album Crayon Soul was released by 3 Beat / Universal Music Group, and mixed by one of my heroes, Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, MGMT, Flaming Lips).
Electronic and alive
REAL TIME LIVE PERFORMANCE SYSTEM
My roles on stage were vocals, guitar, keys, and tech direction.
I designed a live rig that wired the band's instruments directly into the visual system. Every tempo change could change the projection. The whole show ran in real-time, in sync, with no crew running visuals.
We could improvise without breaking the show. A delay throw would turn on and off at the correct word We could play as long as we wanted and the visuals would follow us.. Created using Ableton Live, ClyphX, and Resolume Arena.
The system ran a West Coast tour with Bloc Party, a performance at Austin City Limits on a bill with Radiohead and M83, and at Electric Forest alongside Tycho and Machinedrum.
Album as installation
I wanted the deluxe vinyl packaging to be a portal into the world of the album, and designed all aspects of it. The liner notes were a coloring book. The 4th side had a physically hidden track that ends in a locked groove - a single loop that plays forever until you take the needle off.
The goal was to make the album interactive, something the listener completes themselves and makes their own.

WORLD BUILDING - CAMPAIGN VISUALS
I created all of the artwork by writing a short story to go along with the songs as a way of gluing everything together. If a song needed an outro, the story could fill in the blanks. If a single needed cover art, I just needed to visually depict that moment in the story.
I made a series of mini-videos to tease the album’s release, while running our socials to 27,000 followers at our peak on Instagram.
Designed all tour merch and was commissioned to design merch for Electric Forest Festival.
